Practice Areas

Alexander practices in the areas of corporate, commercial and civil litigation, with particular emphasis on franchise and contractual litigation. Alexander also represents clients in the areas of administrative proceedings, judicial reviews of the decisions of administrative tribunals and appellate litigation.

Experience

Alexander has been a lawyer for over eleven years. In addition to his experience in corporate, commercial and civil litigation, Alexander has assisted with several major, precedent setting Charter of Rights challenges to legislation.

Professional and Community Activities

Alexander has extensive volunteer experience, having been the Editor in Chief and Chair of the Editorial Board of a major academic law journal, the Chair of the Board of Directors of a free legal clinic for low income individuals and a member of the board of several other charitable and not-for-profit organizations. He also coordinated a free legal clinic that operated out of the AIDS Committee of Toronto, and has volunteered with the Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program.

Credentials

Alexander received his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University in Toronto, Ontario and his bachelor of arts from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Alexander is the recipient of numerous academic awards and scholarships. He is a member of the Ontario Bar.
