Samantha Nessan

Samantha joined the firm in the summer of 2007 as a summer student and returned in 2008 to complete her articles of clerkship. Samantha joined the firm as an associate following her call to the bar in June 2009.

Samantha’s practice is focused on family law, estates, and commercial litigation.

Professional & Community Activities

Samantha is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations. Samantha was an active member of Pro Bono Students Canada and volunteered with the Family Law Project while she was a law student at Osgoode Hall Law School. Also, Samantha is a member of Lawyers Without Borders, an international pro bono organization.

Credentials

Samantha holds an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School (2008) and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto (2003). Samantha was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009.

Samantha has experience in American civil litigation. She interned at the Office of the Corporation Counsel at the New York City Law Department.

Samantha is conversant in Aramaic.
