Jida Zhang

Practice Areas

Jida joined the firm as a summer student in 2007. Upon graduation, he will be returning to the firm as an articling student for the 2008/2009 term.

As a summer student with the firm, Jida has assisted our lawyers in various practice areas including corporate/commercial, real estate and civil litigation. In addition to his Canadian legal experience, Jida practiced law in China for several years with one of China’s leading corporate law firms (Jun He Law Offices). His practice in China was focused on commercial transactions, securities law, banking and finance.

• Ontario Bar Association (Student Member)

Credentials

Currently, Jida is finishing his third-year LL.B. program at Queen’s University. He also holds a LL.M. degree in Comparative Law from the University of British Columbia (2002) and a LL.B. degree in Civil Law from the Dalian Maritime University, China (2000).

While at Queen’s, Jida participated in a number of extracurricular activities such as competitive mooting, Pro Bono projects and Queen’s Law Journal.

Jida is fluent in Mandarin.
