First Year Summer Law Student

Heydary Hamilton PC will be accepting applications for law school summer students once they complete their first year, as per LSUC guidelines. Please note that the application deadline is January 23rd, 2013. Only selected applicants who meet the basic qualifications will be contacted, so please carefully review the minimum requirements below.

Minimum Requirements:

• Academic qualifications:
• Undergraduate Grades: Minimum A /A+
• Must have one of the followings:
• Ability to speak a second language, or
• Unique life experiences
• Must be seriously considering articling with our firm and/or becoming an associate after articling.

Additional qualifications:

• Hardworking
• Good judgement
• Excellent people skills
• Business sense
• Ability to follow directions, to take initiative and to demonstrate independent judgement
• Highly intellectual but possesses common sense
• Excellent communication
• Interest in Civil Litigation

The firm offers students the opportunity to develop their skills and work with senior lawyers on complex matters. It is our belief that the summer period should be used to prepare students for a challenging and professional environment and for further opportunity to article with our firm. Summer students may also be offered the opportunity to work with the firm on a part time basis during the school year.
