Current Openings: Litigation Law Clerk or Legal Assistant

Heydary Hamilton PC, a full-service downtown law firm requires a law clerk or legal assistant in the area of litigation.  Minimum 3-5 years of experience required. Essential job functions and duties include but are not limited to :

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Good knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and the forms
  • Scheduling and filing at the Court
  • Organizing lawyer calendars and booking appointments
  • Limitation periods put into the calendars
  • Opening files in PCLaw and creating file folders
  • Closing and deactivating files
  • Generating pre-bills for billing and sending out invoices with relevant cover letters
  • Familiar with Automated Civil Litigation an asset
  • Day to day filing, faxing, photocopying and binding
