David is an intellectual property lawyer. Aditionally, David acts as the firm’s patent agent.

Experience

David has a substantial amount of experience in the following areas:

• Corporate patenting strategies and procedures
• Litigation in all areas of intellectual property
• Licensing of technology and know-how
• Preparation and prosecution of patents before both the Canadian and US patent offices and managing filings worldwide

David has also acted as special advisor to the Canadian government on international developments and law reform in patent, trademark, and copyright law.

David is an active member of the following organizations:

• Ontario Society of Professional Engineers
• Licensing Executive Society (USA/Canada)
• Intellectual Property Institute of Canada

Credentials & Awards

David received his LL.B. from the University of Toronto and his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Engineering Physics from McMaster University. David is a registered patent agent before the Canadian and US patent offices and a member of the Ontario Bar.
